Saber studs really went down in quality the last few years and the company would not stand behind their product. Saber is now under new ownership, but I have not personally talked with them yet. In my opinion, Woody's is the best studs on the market.

I wouldn't put Sabers on my sled even if you gave them to me
Anybody but them. I had their SS studs on a Mach Z and they were pretty good. I recommended them to a buddy and his simply disintegrated on a short run (I was with him and mine were fine). It turned out that Saber got a bad batch of soft steel but wouldn't stand behind there product and screwed many people.
Get Woody's. The last 2 sleds I studded I used their Mega bites. On the first one there were a few studs that had some grit in the threads making it very hard to install the nut. I called Woody's and they immediately sent me a whole bag just to replace a few. That is customer service above and beyond :ORC

I have Saber studs in my 03 RX-1 and after 4500 miles, only two are missing their tips. My dealer confirmed that they were having quality problems with Saber so they installed Woody's in my 05 RX-1. After 2200 miles, not one problem. I would go with Woody's.

I have been pleasantly surprised with Xtreme max studs, Stainless, first I put them on a replacement track for a 600 XTC 144, they held up to 3k miles good conditions, so I took a risk and put them on my 700 xtc with some mild mods 144 in the middle ( prefer) and they have held up great and are rust free.. Now I have a 800 XCSP with 192 woodys and they are straight but rusted big time, I bought the sled used so can not say what Woodies these were, so maybe they were supposed to rust. Sure looks crappy to have a polished tunnel, emmaculate sled and rusted studs :?
What have others thought of xtreme max studs? Cheap, a buck a piece with plate and nut at Hayday's -they are holding up for me.

I was a high volume saber dealer for some time.. till the product went to #*$&@ and they f%$ked me. I hope Russ Wankowski's(sabers owner) collecting unemployment checks today. He's a prick!!!
I studded 2 different sleds and the studs where shot afetr a couple hunded miles the same with my buddies sleds. It's the only stud i won't use.
