Hey guys,
Hope everyone is ready for the snow.
I got a pair of 440 REV RACE SHOCKS off a Ski-Doo and was wondering if any of you guys out there had experience or knew if it was possible to put the 440 shocks in the Pro Active CK suspension in my YAMAHA RTX.
I know there both KYB...but i guess that doesn't really matter. I'm going to try this out to see this weekend if anyone doesn't know.
Thanks in advance,
Yamaha Man

Anything is possible, you need to check lengths, mounting eyes etc. to see if they'll fit. Then you get to deal with the dampening... which may or may not be in the ballpark... any pics?

Dampening?
Yea I might just drop the skid this weekend and see whats what with the shock lengths, etc.
What do you want pictures of?

yamaha/ doo shocks
The yamaha shocks I have now to revalve are for a viper. I'm assuming they are the same? The center shocks will fit. Just a matter of bushings. The rear arm on a doo is aprox 17-1/4 long with 5-7/8 stroke. The yammi is 18-1/2 with a 6-1/8 stroke so that one won't work. My advice is you already have kayaba hpg's correct? Why not just send them to pioneer for a revalve. Now if you have cheap throwaway shocks or want clicker adjustability I understand.

Okay yea I that stinks...I was hoping to put those shocks in.
Yea i guess Pioneer has a kit for 189.99 that involves a rebuild, new valves, spring, and rods. That sounds like a good deal.
Anyone upgraded to that kit???
Thanks guys!

I have a complete set of rear ohlins I'd sell. They are 46's not 36's. They came of the old proaction race sleds. Center has rebound, and rear piggy back has hi low comp and rebound. PM me if interested. I say this they aren't cheap. Maxdlx
