4th wheel kit install question

Just got it installed in the wife's Vector LTX. Wasn't to bad to do and only used one shorty and the long spacer as I had thought. Got to get the Nytro XTX in and do the kit on it as well. Probably been easier with a second person. I did have one track adjuster rotate down on me, but was able to pull back the axel and flip it back up.

So will this turn your three wheel rear axle into the 4 wheel style? I want one if so. Where is the best price? Can you get them off any older yamaha that came stock with them? I have billet wheels and would want the 4th wheel to match so don't want wheels just hardware. What are benefits of this?

If you don't have a friend to pull on track you could always try a rachet strap. If there is a will there is a way!

So you're saying that all you need to do is cut the existing spacer down 13 mm and use an idler wheel and you have a 4th wheel kit??

If you look at it you can see what you have to duplicate. The long spacer is cut twice to make it match the length of the 2 wheel side. You have to cut it twice to make it the same length as the opposite short side and again to remove the bearing width from the longest piece left over. It's been a few years since I did mine, sorry. Once you look at it you should be able to figure it out. All I did was buy a rear idler and cut the spacer using a pipe cutter.

I wouldn't think it would be quite that easy but almost....The spacer is currently long enough to fill the void between the existing inner wheel and the rail and there is smaller spacer between the rail and the existing inner wheel....so you would likely need to cut the longer spacer to create one more short spacer to go between the opposite rail and the new inner wheel and you would be left with another spacer to go between the wheels that needs to be trimmed 13mm.

Use your short one as a template more or less and cut that much off the long one. Then remove the 13mm from the long one left over

Anyone got pics of both set ups to give us ideas on what needs to get done as far as mods? Picture is a 1000 words and would be helpful I am sure. As I want to do the same! Thanks guys
