rode another 120 miles over the weekend, there is so much snow,we were breaking trail in about a foot of new powder, couldnt see last weekends tracks ,almost done with my break in,another 40 miles to go,grooming begins tomorrow, cant wait, saw this beautiful white owl on my way back

This is rare weather for your area at this time of the year.....I can't remeber one year that New Liskeard was even remotely rideable at Christmas.

Hope it holds!

We had that weather last year here in Ottawa then in January we lost it all the rivers heaved and ice moved out it was mild for 3 weeks then froze over last week of Jan and never stopped snowing t'ill March...this year was green t'ill last night it snowed about 4"

ya,i spoke with my sister today and that's what she told me about the snow, she lives in orlean

I just had her out around the block and WOW! we got about 4" last night and the temperature is dropping like a rock its -20 and windy, what a different feeling it has with the front shocks shimmed it lowered my front end 2" +/- it feels like I was riding on rails and when you crack the throtle she transfers like never before :jump: I can't wait to get her out on the trails, now I guess I'll have to do some fine tuning like cut back on transfer she lifts the skis 6" and thats on snow covered asphalt roads with barely any hook up can you imagine on a hard packed trail...

pat the rat, we should hook up when you come to Orleans to visit we have nice trails up this way, theirs a rail bed that runs from Orleans to Quebec border and is usualy very nice and we also have a run along the seaway canal "St-Lawrence" river which is very nice too...

Hey apltx08

Could we head into Quebec from your area?

We have been to many place, but have never riden in your area.

YES, we can enter 2 different ways, heading North to cross on ice "OTTAWA RIVER" to Thurso or Montebello area "LAURENTIANS" or East entering the "Eastern Townships and Lanaudiere" all within 45 min from my place, thats why I buy my Quebec and Ontario passes you can ride in both provinces in the same day... ;)!

When are the trails good in a typical year? I have my Quebec permit as well.

What are some ridable "fun" towns where we could stay on an overnight trip?

Hey aptltx08....allow me to translate for you here ...what Meirda means by "fun towns" are towns that have exactly what he shows in his avatar.. :drink:

Not that I'm any different....but I just thought you should know.

Here guys/gals I scaned a few pages of descent! places here...LOL

Trails are being groomed as we're speaking some guys have been riding since last weekend but conditions aren't 100% yet but by next weekend with snow on tap it should be good to ride...
