ok so I am trying to do a 2 wheel conversion on my expert x. I bought the avid products ski doo axle kit and that fits just great. now I tried a set of 7" wheels and they are to small, I tried a set of 7 1/4" wheels and not much better. so I installed a set of 8" wheels and they are 1/4" below the slides. when the skid is on the ground the slides in the rear are off the ground by 1/4 in. will this be o.k to run or should I try a set of 7.5" wheels, any info would be great THANKS! here are a few pictures of it with the 8" wheels.

I would say 7.5s should put you right were you want to be. I would be a bit nervous running that much wheel below the rail. I guess it would depend on where you ride too though. Either way my guess it that the bearings and rubber in the 8's wouldn't last long with the high load. Plus only having two wheels now you want durability.
