I ride an Apex, but a phazer has intriged me since it came out. To date have have not had an opportunity to ride one and I am very curious has to how much performce an 80hp can have. If anyone who has left a big sled and went with the phazer how crisp is this in the 20-80mph range? I'm well aware it will not perform as well as the Apex on a lake or mile long straights, but I would suspect it must thrive in s-turns and trail speeds 25-60?
not sure I will be making a move but have considered a phazer for the wife and or sharing, just curious of opinions.

The phazer will hang with with the big boys up to 60mph. 60-80 mph is a slower process. I know for certain that it can out-accelerate a Crossfire7 up to about 45 mph.

Its smooth and quite fast in almost all situations up to 60 like said.If I hook up my SRX its all over very quickly but the thing is the Phazer almost always hooks up.Especially with Freeride track.Doesnt feel real fast since its so smooth but race guys and it really shines. Its a different kind of fun but alot of fun with either.

well...My Rx1 has been out of service so much this winter, I've had lots of seat time on my wifes phazer. There are pros and cons. It handles great and is a blast to ride through twisty trails. You loose a bit in the fields or on lakes, best I can hit is 80mph (90 if things are perfect). The seat is good for aggressive riding and maybe 100 miles, but a long ride is a pain in the ars! It has plenty of low end zip, but it doesn't have that sweat sound of the RX1/Apex that gets your heart pumping, it sounds more like a chain saw with a muffler. It is a very economical ride.

If it had another 20 hp, it would be enough for me to consider it as my full time ride. But...in reality it's all you need!

Totally agree with everyone about he perfomance, it's great up to 60 mph. and very fun to ride. I gotta dissaagree about the seat being uncomfortable, I love it I can ride 250 miles a day no problem.

my wife feels the same way about the seat on her phazer, she has nothing bad to say about it,we just drove in the yard an hour ago from a 1000 mile trip, she was so happy with her sled,we had a flawless trip with the vector and phazer, her phazer turned 8000 miles with not 1 glitch since we bought it new in 07

I don't like the seat because they are not flat. You slide toward the tank all the time. I need a better seat. I am 6"-1' so maybe that cramps my legs as I slide forward. The new xp doo seat is awsome, wish that would bolt on

The bottom end of the phazer is good, flattens out after 50 but to be expected I believe. I am very happy with the sled.

Hey,
Last season I owned an FX Phazer, this season an FX Nytro. With good clutching and a larger lugged track, the Phazer was just as fast or maybe a bit faster to 30 MPH than the Nytro (stock). Set up correctly (most importantly a larger lugged track) the Phazer is a very fun sled! Very very fun 0-30 mph.

Guess I wish this rig was 110 hp. Why not the old 600's were 116hp and the 130's are hanging with the 7's. Light em up I'd love to have this chassis with that range horse without the turbo.
