I have a 87 Warrior and it wont fire, checked everything but the cdi box. Whats the difference in the cdi box 3GD-85540-20-00 and a 1UY-85540-20-00 any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

The 3GD is from a 90 to 96 & the 1UY is the part# for the 87

I dont no for a fact if it will work but I know that Yamaha didnt change anything on warriors over many years. I would check the plug and the wire colors and it all looks the same, I would try it out. To verify for sure you could call Larry at North Country Yamaha 715-453-2626 and I am sure he could verify.
