I have a 2010 rtx and noticed quite a bit of upper a arm play at 1500miles. I replaced all bushings upper and lower with oilites. It tightened up pretty nice but the left upper seemed to have slightly more play after new bushings compared to right. I now have 2600miles and the left upper seems to have a lot of play. Even torqued it to specs why does it have so much play even after new bushings???

Arms may be ovaled out where bushings go? Frame ovaled out?

The bushings fit very tight into the arms had to use threaded rod and washers and they seated flush. I will have to take a closer look at the frame but all seemed well before. I do ride hard and take a lot of jumps so that doesn't help.

I had to re tighten bolt on my upper left after a season as it has some play. Wasn't much maybe 1/8" of a turn with ratchet. Try tightening more and see how it goes

I will try that. I did locktite it so it shouldn't have loosened at all but maybe just needs to be tighter

Found out that the plate on the frame where the bolt goes threw was bent out so the bushing of the upper a arm wasn't completely touching. Bent back and it tightened up but the hole is also very lightly egged out but enough to make some play. How would you suggest fixing that. Just weld around the hole then grind flat and drill out or weld a washer in place?

Contact Grizztracks and he will have the answers for you. His gusset kit will fix the bending of the front sub-frame and he has solutions to the egged-out holes and small nuts that the a-arms are bolted into.

I already had his gusset kit welded in. The frame itself didn't bend just that small tab the a arm bolt head sits against. I will ask him about the egged out hole fix.
