I've noticed that a bunch of people are relocating the battery to under the seat to move the weight. What kind of work is involved in this? I've not really worked on my sled much but I'm willing to start. Also, as I have mentioned in a previous thread, I would like to put the 05 clutching on my 04. A few have told me that it is real simple and can be done in minutes. Are there any special tools that need to be used? Can anyone give me a little help at least getting started on these 2 projects? Thanks for any replies.

A lot of people have relocated a lighter battery in the belly. There isn't much room under the seat.

Clutching to 05 specs is just a matter of buying the weights, rivets, rollers, and springs, and swapping them out. All you need are simple tools. You don't have to pull the clutch. You do need your riding elevation to establish the correct rivets.

I looked into going with 05 specs on my 04 but since I ride 2000ft elevation the specs are exaclty the same. The 05 goes with the 8BU-10 in high elevations.
