I know this has been discussed but I was unable to locate the info.

Is there a quick fix for the abrupt clutch engagement on the Nytro RTX? My Phazer is so smooth which makes it so much more noticeable. Looking at fixing it for next Winter. One more ride this year so I will deal with it but I would love to solve the problem this summer.

Thanks!

Most likely a spring change would cure it but you better ask Turk which one would be best to go too.

I think Turk had mentioned somthing about going to a 15.0mm (8FG-17624-10) roller will help smooth out engagement. Stock is a 15.6mm. This was on an XTX but I think it would have same result.

I have a XTX spring in mine now for some testing. (blue silver blue) Engagement is much smoother!

What do you mean by 15mm rollers? Are you talking the weights on the primary clutch?

Where did you get the rollers and how much?

Were did you get the spring and how much?

You can get the rollers from Yamaha here is the part # 8FG-17624-10. They are pricey.

Yea. I see that. 41+ each! Will have to look at that as an option. Interested to see how the spring effects the clutch engagement.

front spring and replace aluminum rivets in the weights with 2.44g steels, cost you 25 bucks, the rollers are more than that each
