Met with the surgeon today, he showed me the MRI there is no need for another opinion it's tore. I am really on the fence about my Sled. There is no chance of riding this year but my deal is a pretty good one. Worry that the prices will go up next year and the incentives maybe won't be as good. I have 5 yrs of warranty on it so losing a year wouldn't be the end of the world. Be no different then if I ordered it and it didn't snow. But if I back out I will get to see what they come with in the spring and also get to see how the Vipers pan out and order something again in the spring but I will lose $500. Having a hell of a time deciding what to do I have been thinking every day for 7-8 months about my new machine and have really looked forward to it. I was pissed when it wasn't here in October like they said it would but it doesn't change the fact that it's the machine I want. If it had been here when it was supposed to be I wouldn't have a decision to make it would be in the garage already.

Keep it. If you are like most of us you will ride, just extremely carefully. I had my ACL replaced and depending on your physical therapy prescription your recovery time can vary. My doctor was adamant that they went easy with no pain in therapy, had surgery in October, was riding in December.....very carefully. This was 1992, and I am quite confident that the surgery has advanced greatly since then. Good luck.

I had my ACL replaced in a November just before Thanksgiving, the year escapes me. I rode all season, prob 2000 miles. I had done a lot of PT prior so that was an advantage. I could walk as soon as the anesthesia wore off. I took pre and post OP PT very seriously and rode with a brace and limited my risk but I was fine.
We take an annual 10 dar trip late in Jan and when I got picked up I limped out with my leg immobilizes on and pretended for half the ride to NY that I wouldn't be able to ride.
Aggressive PT will have you riding this year. You can do it.
I remember. It was 2005 the year I spring ordered my Apex GT. NOF-ING way I was missing out on that. Even mad a last week of March trip to Quebec that year.

I said it before. You will ride the new sled if you want to bad enough. Is good motivation for you to get on your feet fast. Are you a quiter? If not then get the sled and go ride it!

Dude, that is not bad. Mine got done in the middle of February 2010. Gave my sled to my brother for his tec class to replace the track. Then was willing to go to Ty March ride that year but would have been on Betsy and carted my crutches along as we where doing off trail riding. But as my doctor said. The faster you start using it the faster you get better. I was back at work a week after surgery and I did not need physio at all. Just take the sled and ride it in January but do not try to push your limits until you are fully healed.

What could be more fun than riding your new sled on pain killers? I think I might tear my shoulder so I can see the dr. LOL!
Well I can tell you in 07 I fell 14' landed standing up on my right leg. I collapsed the knee and the bones passed through the joint. I had MRI blew ACL and MCLs.
Docs said never walk again without surgery!!! That was Memorial day. 1st snow fell November 17th I think and I rode 200 miles that day.
PS I never had any surgery and still walking today - I have several bad injuries in my life and always told the same thing by those Orthopedic idiots.
