I've beaten an 04 F7 with my REV 800 with out much difficulty, but I have also seen some modded ones go by me pretty good.

How does the new Fusion's compare, top end, accel? Just curious as I ride w/ 2 of them and don't know what to expect-comparable to the F9, or not even close?

F9 should not count, they are not production sleds.

OK sense i have one,but it leaves my house for the dealers this sat. to be traded,heres what i know first hand,it will be close out of the hole and thru midrange,if the fusions you ride w/are good ones and given that they may even have some decent topend,i only saw 110 gps on mine,but i had a bad one,my friend had one go 112 gps and read higher on speedo when he did not have gps,and i have wetnessed some run 118 gps,but down the road all of the good ones who ran well BLEW up,go figure right,so it could be a tuff call,now this is 05s and no one knows how the 06 will turn out,but dont count them out and dont give them any edge in a race,my personal feeling is we will walk them from bottom all the way to top,but as you know there is always someone somewhere who is faster,dont worrie be happy,you got one of the sweetest sleds ever made and i am talking form exsperiance 35+ years of it,now allen stated he has seen the full production apex to be a little more healthy than the protos,so should be fun..

Good post, I think you summed up the 05 Fuse pretty well. My brother and two buddies had them last year, and I was the lone Yamaha. It's not that they were necessarily a bad sled, just that the Yamaha was that much better. Mine was faster from bottom to top, better on fuel, and all around more refined. Two of the three are going to Apexes this season, I think that says it all.

I assumed we were talking STOCK for STOCK.. not stock vs. modded or vise versa!

If a ECP equiped and clutched RX-1 just runs with a stock APex.. then a apex with clutching should smoke all Stock F sleds.. as my warrior did last year!

You beat your buds sleds and if you are going to clutch an Apex why not the fcat, very silly comparison. All I am saying is don't go out and challange every Fcat you see as you will get some surprises.

Is this a test of manhood to beat a Fcat and if it doesn't is the Apex any less of a sled?

all i ride with is CATs.. LOL

My buddy just bought a new zr900.. and all my other friends own 05 F7s and 03 and 04 F6s and F7s.. (the 900 should be my only threat) and i in no way am saying you will beat every sled out there.. but i know BS when i hear it.. and i hear alot of it on HCS...

Lets face the facts jim .. the RX wasnt the fastest sled out of the box... in fact it was slow compared to the F7s and some F6s..in the 1/4 mile (needed ecp kit and clutching to beat stock F7s)

But the apex has its stuff together compared to the Rx-1... better rear skid and more HP.. lighter etc. etc.


It just makes me sick to my stomach at how great the guys on Hardcore sledder think the F7 is.. they call the rx slow, and ill handling.. when in reallity, the first f7 was ill handling too.. and blew up all the time..

All they want to do is call names and compare there highly modified sleds to stock ones and want to race for pink slips! How often do you see guys on there wanting to race for pink slips unless they have a turbo?

Hell you even see 40 year olds on that site calling names and talking like 13 year olds..

Im sure glad i have this site to come back to where we talk sensibly and NON color blind!

Im pretty much done with HCS.. Where is the moderators when all the name calling starts for like 9 pages.. LOL

Welt, no facts yet just speculation. Read my posts there and you will seee my feelings on the matter but I also don't believe in race results on the internet either. If an RX1 lost it wast that RX1 not every RX1 that lost the same goes for an Fcat. Up here most RX1/Warriors were pure stock as most Canadians do not modify the way Yanks do. Most comments against RX1's were against pure stock ones. Let's just get some snow and see what happens.

Some of those Fcat responses were a response to a member from here. Hopefully it is all in fun

Even if everyone on this site gets there new apex, and beats a F7,, everyone on that site will tell you they never lost to a apex.. Its just the way they are.

Welterracer you are right about the people on hcs most of them on the cat side bow down to the f-7 now dont get me wrong it is a very capable sled in the right hands,but most of them box stock are only so so,it is not until they put timing keys fuel regulators and pipes on them that they become the real lake warrior,no pun intended the average f-7 box stock none jetted down all stock are in the 130s hp wise period.
