I want to hook my ridelite to the visor plug harness on my Sidewinder. That circuit has a black wire and a red/blue wire. Which is the positive side? I've always thought a white wire was the common but this is obviously not the case since there isn't one. If anyone knows for certain which side is positive please post.

Thanks in advance. Ron

Thank you very much

Interesting. I wouldn,t be surprised to see that become a standard issue on new sleds in the near future.
Way better than watching sledders try and drive with one hand on the bars.

Foe sure. Way safer and very easy to see and understand. The group I rode with last season had 2 guys with them and this year all will have them. So much easier for other riders to know if there are people behind you. $75 delivered. Way cheaper than a wreck trying ti use hand signals.

I just don't get it if you see a head light coming at you there is a rider behind it. If one person passes and holds up his fist you can bet a faster rider is closing behind him that he does not know about. What do you do....fly over into the opposite lane just cause one guy that has no idea what's behind says it ok?

You will never know for sure what is coming but at least you know when the group you are passing is finished. More information is better and depending where you are riding adds a lot of safety especially if groups get stretched out. You can't always see the headlights early enough. I do my best to stay right at all times,, period but I hate it when oncoming riders swerve towards me trying to use hand signals because they are warning of followers. They also believe they are protecting the people behind them by signalling you.

Where is everyone mounting these on the winder? I need to install mine this weekend. On previous sled I had it stuck to side panel left of windshield. I think I saw someone here that had a handle bar mount also.

I'm planning on the left side of the hood just in front of the vent over the clutches. I figured I could run the wire through the open vent and it would be easy to plug/unplug.

Any other ideas?

Your comments are exactly why I bought one for this year and am giving ridelites as Christmas gifts to rider friends! Got mine from the Yamaheater dude. They are in production. Great price too!

I don't have a code. I think the $75 price was for orders before 12-1 but I don't recall for certain.

PM Rockmeister. He is making a ride lite as well. His preseason price was $25. Not sure what it is now.
