Over summer I extended my 121-144 I thinking of adding 4 wheels at rear ..2 on each side one. At old rear wheel location and one just ahead as the same for other side... My ? Is any one do this?...out side of reduce hyfax wear would it help with top end speed or hender? Any ideas or experience on this?
Thanks

07 apex er with mono shock
I have found adding extra wheels reduces hyfax wear and also reduces rolling resistance which = better top end...JMO

i did the same thing with my 06 rtx i went from a 121 to a 144 this summer and i also used the pioneer drop wheel mounts on all the idler wheels and also installed two extra per side back where the extension kit mounted to the end of the old rails i made the new rear idlers look just like the front set in regard to spacing .Rockwell5 said:Over summer I extended my 121-144 I thinking of adding 4 wheels at rear ..2 on each side one. I'm glad to hear someone elese took the chance on extending as far as I did .. Did u do the 144 extensions or do the 136 and relocate the skid for 144? I went with 144 extensions and really hoping am happy with it my ol rx1 was done that way and it was great so hoping the mono shock will do the same ... But already knowing that the ride is going to be effected but just going to have to wait and see really how bad it is!

yea everyone is saying the geometry will be alittle messed up one thing you will have to do is run your track tension on the loose side or the suspension will not compress its full stroke because your track will run tighter as the suspension compresses if that makes any sense i used the oft racing 144 extensions with a new ice ripper track my thinking was if i could save some weight in the track by haveing the studs moulded right in the track rather than studding the reg. way it might help the top end speed. the oft peices are just a work of art everything lined up and went together perfectly excellent workman ship the customer service on the other hand was less than though. heres hopeing for big snow good luck rockwellRockwell5 said:I'm glad to hear someone elese took the chance on extending as far as I did ..
