Adding to the collection

For several weeks I have had this uncontrolable urge to buy a 4 stroke....I don't even know where the hell it came from. It was as if a higher power had possesed my mind and the need to own one these high tech rockets was more then I could resist.

So I make a bunch of calls inquiring with dealers in a 200 mile loop to see who has a blue rx1 er and what is their best price. Most where pretty high and I thought I had a chance to avoid this urge and not be able to justify the cost. :shock:


But noooooooo, there always has to be that one dealer who has exactly what your looking for and offers it at a price which won't allow you to let the urge pass.

So today I drive up to this dealers place, just have look at the thing and verify what I already know, you know the trip to the dealer where that little voice in the back of your head says, "just stop in and check it out".

So I walk through the door, I hadn't been to this dealer before, so I had to have a look around. Check out the orange F7, fool myself into considering a vector for about 3 seconds. Then I wonder over to the sales area and ask for the guy who quoted me the price over the phone just to have look at him, make sure he looks trust worthy and all.

Then I figure what can it hurt to fill out the credit ap, just to see if if everything is doable. Sure enough everything checks out, I coulda bought 2 for cripes sake.

So 40 minutes after walking through the door to have a look I walk out having........bought an 05 Blue RX1 ER....... yea the one I just went to look at and make sure it really was the thing of beauty that had been haunting my everyother frickin thought for the last 2 weeks.

I pick it up on Friday.

Does that ever happen to you? lol

It had better start snowing around here sometime really soon, lol.

Damn I can't wait to ride this beast.

So RX1 tuners and guru's What do I buy for it first and from who?

One last thing.....anyone near me have any garage space where I can keep it until I figure out how to tell the wife.

Congrats!!

My son & I succombed to the same voices in our heads and bought new RX's over the phone last weekend ('05 and a holdover '03). We pick them up right after Xmas.

I contacted half dozen dealers by email and then bought from one in the twin cities.

Can't wait!!!

The first thing to do is read the owners manual, then ride it every chance you get till its broke in.

Once it is broke in you will know what you do & don't like and let the mods begin.

These are really fairly well set up out of the crate, just do some skid adj's. to your personal taste and enjoy.

SRXBob welcome to the Forum sounds like love at first sight I got space in my garage but i can't promise it will still be there when you come to pick it up LOL Sounds like there's gonna be a whole lot more RX1's riding Minnesota trails this year

Impalapower, yes I agree life is to short not to do and have the things you enjoy.

Convert...... when are the ty MN rides, I'm gonna have to be putting on some miles this year. My one buddy that I sled with most wife is expecting in April so he is hoping to get is rec fun in before then. lol

I'd be game many weekends after the holidays to ride, it would be fun to ride with some other ty'ers too.
