Has anyone ever installed additional vents to the engine compartment on their Viper? Would this help in lowering clutch temps and help keep right side panel from getting to warm ? As far as snow getting in we live in southern Mn. so deep snow is not a problem. I searched this topic on this site and did not find any input. Do you fellow Viper riders think this would be a good thing to install in lower rear part of engine compartment? Thanks.

Yes I always could touch anything. Wouldn't be able to hold onto clutch long though.

seems that there is plenty of vents letting air in the front. anyone add vents to the rear of the side panels to let it out or flow through the engine compartment?

Tator, that what I want to do is add vents to the rear of the side panels more so on the clutch side to get some of the hot air out from the clutch/belt area. I have them ordered just need to get them & install them.

I ordered them off of e-bay. Just search FrogSkins vents. Or go to Chickin Strips Cycles is were they are coming from.

I know there is a company (the name escapes me right now) that makes a vent for the knee area on the Viper. I do know they offer vents for both clutch and exhaust sides and they do look heavy duty. Definitely an upgrade I'm going to make when the season's over.
