Adjusting the transfer in the mono shock skid?

Any tricks on getting the lock nut loose on the transfer rod? I had the tool from the tool kit on it and was hitting it gently with a rubber mallet but no luck? Is it reverse thread?

It's normal right hand thread. I used a piece of brass round stock to break mine loose from the factory gorilla tight. Once I did this, I could use the factory tool.

Large channel locks work great. The spanner wrench is useless the
first time!

pipe wrench works too.
Mine came loose last season so get her retightened like you found it...can cause real damage ...not cheap, I was able to fix mine.
