the dealer wants 30 dollars to do the transfer straps, and told me it takes him 5 seconds to do it. :? im not paying 30 dollars for 5 seconds of work.

today i looked at them and whipped out the old 11MM wrench. The sled was sitting on my trailer. do i need to have the sled jacked up off the ground to loosen the bolts? I was trying to loosen the rear bolt first. would it be better to loosen the front bolt first, then move the straps to the rear.

the tech showed me how to do it, i just dont know if i need to jack it up off the ground, and if i need to loosen the front or rear bolt first

You don,t have to lift the sled off the ground to adjust the limiters. To tighten the limiters just loosen the front screw & tighten the back screw inward. Do the opposite if you want to lengthen the limiters. 5 minute job!!! It is a good idea to loosen the front shock when you tighten the limiter straps.
