Adjusting track tension on Zx2

Do you have to loosen the rear axle wheels to do it? I already gobbed them up with red lok-tite not thinking!

I don't understand why Red Lock Tite is required. Red is permanent strength and requires heat to release. Not very comfortable with using heat on a plastic suspension.

That's exactly what I was thinking about the locktite,didn't use any, gonna bring home some blue threadlocker tom. from work. Definitely not RED!

Yes, You have to loosen the rear axle everytime you want to adjust the track. I did not put the locktite on the bolts. does not make any sense. I adjusted my track to be snug, as it was 45 degrees outside. I will wait for cold weather and adjust it again. The only thing I can think is because the bolt is threaded into that block, and there is no lock washer, they want locktite. Would sure make it difficult to readjust.

I put the locktite on and installed my skid several days later. I was able to loosen the rear axle bolts without problem. I did not completely goop the threads up. I put about 2 drops on each bolt.

I would use blue lok-tite not red. Red is designed for bolts that are not going to be adjusted or removed. You can remove them without heat. I wouldn't go without something! The last thing you want is to have a bolt fall out on the trail. Just my 2 cents.
