The DEI 528T will do the delay I ordered one from Ebay and it was defective and got lazy and never got another one so I just wired it up. I do what RXrider does now.

That looks easily sourced. I am thinking of getting one now.

For the longest sensor life you DO NOT want to run the engine without the sensor being powered up. Anyone thinking they are doing any good warming the engine first before firing the gauge up is doing the exact opposite.

Dang, I wish I'd I've known about the Grizzly option. I ended up splicing into my aux outlet for power. If you can find that part number, it's probably not too late to redo it and have use of the aux outlet again.

I have to agree with jd0270 - that's what the manual says, turn on the ignition, let it run it's heat cycle, start the engine. At least the Innovate LC-1 wants it that way, no problem with the sensor so far, starting on the 5th season on the same sensor.
I do the free air calibration a few times every season as well to keep the system happy.
