I put the Timbersled skid on my T-Apex and found that the tail was jacked so high that the ski pressure was all messed up and the ride was unpredictable and sketchy. Tried all the settings that I could and never really came up with something that I was 100% happy with. The RX-1 and the Apex were really sensitive to their skid mounting height.
Great build quality, great customer service, I just didn't think it was the best fit for my T-Apex.
Looking at Turbo Tim's photos of when he did his EZ-Ryde it looked to jack the tail up also, in turn messing with the geometry of the sled and it's balance.
Now, I'm in the process of building a T-Nytro now, and am curious of those of you that have swapped out your skids with aftermarket choices, how have your results been? Would you buy it again or try something else?
EZ-Ryde?
K-Mod?
Timbersled?
This question is specifically directed to boosted Nytro owners as the demands are different than the NA sleds, and the sensitivity to geometry on ski pressure is probably different.
Thanks for you feedback.

I went with ez ryde 162 and it does not jack up the back end of the sled on the Nytro. The ride is really nice and it keeps the front end off the snow about 6 inches when climbing. Really absorbs the bumps. I was running 14 psi of boost. I can send a picture to you if you want.

If you could provide pictures that would be great.
Would you do the EZ-Ryde again? Or would you try something else?
Is it giving you enough transfer to keep the front end light, but not so much that it comes back on you in the big climbs?
Thanks.

Met Allan from Timbersled at Revy this week. I have a Timbersled from early last year. Ran it all winter with some agressive ski pressure like you mentioned. He claims we should try moving up the mount in the tunnel. Lots of room to accomplish and also will flatten out attack angle.
Mine has CR drop brackets which have also jacked up the back a tad. will lower it as well to reduce ski pressure. For the money and lightwieght I would buy another one.

Would I buy another one, absolutely. I really like it. From what I can tell there is no more ski pressure than stock. It is also 30 lbs lighter than stock including the drop brackets.
I will get a picture for you.

Thanks I'm looking at the EZ-Ryde with the EXIT Z-Broz shocks.
Thanks ClimbMax for the feedback on the Timbersled Mtn Tamer updates - I'll keep my eyes on what they're up to also.
+2 above freezing at the peak of Whistler yesterday and today so it looks like I've got a couple weeks to decide.
