Has anyone installed an aftermarket tachometer on their nytro?
I was thinking it would be nice to have... cause I have a rough time trying to read those little numbers when I'm riding. I want to be able to see the needle swinging around.
Not fair for the vector and apex guys have all the sweet guages! Lol!
I know people have put vector guages on and that would be ideal! I can't find one anywhere and I know they are a bit expensive to buy new. So I figured a small aftermarket tach may be the way to go! Just having a hard time finding one that works on a 3 cyl engine!

During one of my brain storming sessions, I was thinking a used tach from a late 90's Triumph Motorcycle might work (maybe a 955i). You can get matching temperature guage from the same bike.
why not install a power commander and lcd screen...? pretty cool look at ulmers website photos I believe

you can install a vector or venture gauge on your nytro. i dont have the 400 bucks for the gauge but ive seen a few done before. Any 3 cyl sled you can use the gauge. if you want the clock on from a GT gauge youll have to run a power wire to the gauge. do a search i think its been talked about a few times.

Just find a VDO exterme tach or similar automotive tach that is a dip switch style set it up for your application and all set.....
also will record entire run and or max rpm....
they arent produced anymore but are still pretty easy to find
drag race guys use them on there sleds (try amsnow for sale section)

I have been looking for info how to connect a VDO Xtreme to the Nytro. I haven't found any info so far. Older sleds have their own wire with rpm pulses going to the stock tach. The Nytro don't seem to have any similar wire.
If anyone have gotten the VDO to work on the Nytro, please let me know..
