aggressive snowtrackers or woodys duellys on 2012 apex xtx

ecopter I'am not trying to start a fight. The Tracker's are one of the most agreed upon wear bar system's available to date and that is a fact proven by the number of people that have responded positively in post's like this. I see you have a 2011! If you put the Tracker's on in 2011 you likely have the wrong setup. They had to change them due to the ski mount location on the 11 and newer ski's. I under stand what initial thought's are when looking at them! When I received my first pair I opened them up and said WTF did I waste another $200 on but I put them on and gave them a try and I could not believe how they performed. I to have bought ski's, many different bar setup's and messed with shimm's to the point that I gave up. People buy aggressive ski's to eliminate as much push as possible and that caractoristic usually causes more tracking/darting and harder steering. Maybe the semi aggressive's would have worked for you better, less aggressive and no tracking.
They are the only thing that I have found so far that 100% eliminates tracking, bites in the corner's and doesn't cost top end. Dual runner ski's will cost top end and use more fuel.
Sorry i have a strong opinion on this but in 36 year's of snowmobiling the Tracker's have been likely the beest accessory I have spent money on.
I guess it's your money so do what works for you but I like to help any one I can when it comes to snowmobiling.

It's quite possible that the violent unannounced roll is caused by the previous version snowtracker on my 2011 "new design" ski. I'll accept that. However, I also had this happen when I had these on my 2006 Attak.

I agree that snowtrackers do completely eliminate tracking/darting. In that respect, I loved them. But I decided to remove them when I found more of my riding was fast cornering and I valued my life (didn't know one moment from the next when I was going to be throw unexpectedly into the trees).

If I was simply going to ride conservative all day long, then I would definitely invest in a pair. The Apex, however is not a conservative machine.

.....and I appreciate your opinion. You've helped me and many others on here.

Cheers!

We have some open field riding with higher speed cornering (40-60MPH) and occasional river riding with some corner's that we will do in the 80 to 100 MPH range. I love the precision tracking that allows me to hold the inside ski barley touching the snow no mater what ski track I cross instead of push and grab and unpredictable inside ski lift.
I guess you need to do what works for your riding style and condition's.
I have also heard good things about the new Yami ski's however we do a lot of drag racing and being that I am 6'+ and 230 and a couple of my friends are 150 ish I don't need any more resistance. Good luck

i love my snow trackers, just killed my aggressive set after almost 9000kms (quebec) and had to install a spre set of semiaggressive that were at the cottage because my new set didn't show up when they were supposed to. anyhow i used the semiaggressive on a 3 day 1100km trip and didn't really notice any difference other than steering effort is lighter.... although i haven't tried it on really hard pack icy conditions yet but will leave them on and find out.

just my opinion...... i use them on both the stock ski and yamaha mountain skiis and love them.

I would love your full review with semi vs aggressive....also wouldn't aggressive just last longer?

trackers

i have mt. skies with semi's, they are great it makes you feel in control all the time,
also made sled steer much easier. the price you pay just for safety reason's is worth it.

What sled are you running these on?

As the title says I need some advice to prevent darting, thanks

I have an aggressive set of snowtrackers on my Nytro XTX with a set of mountain skies and it rails. You just have to lighten up your ski pressure till you find that sweet spot. Duallies push too much in the corners.

I also have a set of semi aggressive snowtrackers on a Vector LTX with stock skies and and that machine rails as well.

The semi aggressives have a bit less steering effort.
