I put the furnace filter material in the screens and have yet since had a icing problem in the air box again. I also removed the snorkel under the airbox. To take the snorkel off completly you just pull one end through. Done end of problem.

What is the principal with the snorkel thingy on or off??
I think it is was designed to try and grab colder air and all it was doing was allowing snowdust to go into the airbox. I took mine out and noticed no difference other than an air box that wasnt freezing anymore. If you remove it the snow dust actually has to defeat gravity to get into the airbox as it must go straight up. This is why it helps to keep the snow dust out. You will not even notice the diff if it is out
