Anyone looking into the FAST Airwave M-10? I just read the article in SnowTech, sounds like it might work out quite well.

The Airwave seems to be the next advancement for FAST.Claim good ride in small and large bumps.Worth a phone call to ask questions.

I modded the suspension from my Deluxe Staples Office Chair and slammed it into the new Attak and this baby really rolls

They already use it on rigid, bob-tail choppers so why not snowmobile skids. That's technology for you. Seems to me that Air would be the next big thing for us too. For a while there my RX-1 felt like it was a rigid setup - Ha Ha

I know, just when I was finally happy with my mono shock, along comes the most interesting suspension to date. So much for the idea of the turbo, this year.

Yup that suspension will be fine for the average guy just putting around and having a bad back,but for the agressive hard charging rider i think it will be to much like qall there stuff in the past,to much drop out and to much height,i could be wrong,but look at how long the arms are for there travel numbers they are claiming,that will hinder your center of gravity,heck as it is now you got guys wanting handling like there older srx,sx and vipers did,that skid will make it handle worse,and ride better,depends on what you want,and how much money you have,better off buying two different sleds lol..

My mono shock is perfect right now, comfortable on the smooth trails, controllable over the moguls (still comfortable). I just realize the benefits of an air spring, the same way Fox Floats are better, the Airwave would give you a huge operating range.

I have had an M10 in the last 4 SRX's that I had and unfortunately I did not remove it from the last one I traded in when I bought my RTX. What changes did you make to your monoshock that improved the ride? Over the stutter bumps its not as smooth as the M10 and the suspension also bottoms out over the bigger stuff. I have been thinking of having the stock shock revalved and possibly dual rate spring.

Yes i agree with air ride shocks being better at controling ride quality,all i was saying is the length of there arms and extended shocks will add to the tippyness,if they used shorter arms and got it much closer to the ground it would handle much better than the one they show. But like most oems they want to show huge numbers to impress us all,and dont get me wrong,this will ride very nice,but the handling will suffer.

Have you taken your rear shock out and moved the c clip to the next pos. there is 3 slots for more spring preload,the next slot may help alot,but i do suggest a revalve to stiffen up the compression and have them tweek the rebound some,and than maybe a dule rate spring option!! What did you run your floats in last year,and how did it handle for you where it was set?

The only advantage Fox Floats have over Ohlins is weight savings, I have extensivly tested both on the same sled and the only difference to be felt is in transfer because of a little less weight

If you are only 165 pounds with gear, and you can bottom it you are an animal! I am more like 265 with gear, so a stiffer spring was in order. The stock spring should be sufficient, where did you run your damping selector? I can't speak for the progressive spring, but that in conjunction with a shock revalve might give you the results you are looking for.

I have been deliberating if I should go with a full on HYGEAR mod set up for my APEX or get an M-10/12/AIRWAVE or ExpertX. I have spoken at great length with Ross from HYGEAR and he is a really nice guy. I am an aggressive trail rider that hates getting HAMMERED in the bumps. Which seems to happen way to often.

WHAT DO I DO??? HELP!
