Mods are part of the sport. I put a comet clutch on my 74 skiroule laser. And a Centryx Skiroule next Gen clutch on my 73 RTX 447. Slide saver kit ( a set of bogey wheels pivoting on the front arm), and ski spreaders!!
There wasn't a whole lot of aftermarket back then...lol.

I love my apex and really how bad would a sindwinder beat a well set up apex not as bad as everyone thinks but they are way cool

I dont think the Apex would be close. 50 hp difference and about the same weight. Should not even be close.
