Almost had a ruined trip, sled would not start for anything!

My friends Venture MP does the same thing every time it's cold. He's been putting a torch on the oil pan to warm things up and it starts usually after 30 seconds or so. Is there any way to bypass the solenoid? Are there two separate problems here fuel pump and solenoid? It also won't go into reverse if it's even on a tiny hill. Any help would be appreciated.

There is two seperate issues most times.Solenoid which is right on the battery and the relays which are down by the ecu.Solenoid you can just jump the two big posts.Relay you need to get it warm.

Okay, so I went out on a journey. I went out on the land and was testing my relays with some deep snow riding and then lots of wide open runs trying to melt any snow down by the relays. Got her good and iced up and full of snow. She fired right up the next morning but after a short rip i shut her down and the f-ing thing just clicked and clicked. took my side panels off (both of them, upper and lower) wiggled the wiring harness where it goes up into the ecu and she fired right up. Cannondale you say that you can jump in case your solinoid is shot but what if your 1000 kms from any type of civilization and the relays bugger up ??? Can I replace them and be good to go or is it goiung to happen again with new relays ???? sled ran perfecly untill this B S with the relays.

Electric lettuce is my drink of choice !!!! hehehe...

I think they have a new part # for the relays. Not sure since I never had one cause a issue. When I first got my sled I put dielectric grease in every electrical connection I could find. You might want to try the same but clean them first since corrosion probably has already started. On all the battery, solenoid connections I used Loctite on bolts and nuts and smeared dielectric grease over them to help prevent corrosion.
