Just a quick odd ball question
I have one of Alpine's lightweight battery kits installed on my front mount Apex, is there any reason I can not leave it hooked up to my small trickle charger during the week while I'm not riding? There is obviously high demand put on the electrical systems of our turbo sleds when you start adding in widebands, knock boxes, nitrous setups etc etc
I've heard some people say this battery should not be left on a trickle for more than 24 hrs but I don't really understand why it would be any different than my motorcycle battery's which I leave on a trickle all winter long while its in storage.

The battery has nothing to do with electrical demand when you are riding your sled-the charging system runs your accessories and recharges the battery for the next time you start the engine.
As long as it's a peak style trickle charger (shuts off when it's charged and comes on when it's low), you can leave it on all you want.

there has to be some sort of demand on the battery upon startup I'd imagine to power stuff like electronic boost controllers, knock box, boost guages, widebands etc...Regardless, my concerns are likely unfounded because we have not had snow to ride on yet so the charging system obviously hasnt been able to keep the battery up to snuff. I'll hook it up to the trickle during the week to make sure shes ready for the weekends.
thanks for the information Travis..

Depends on how you did wire your acc stuff. All power goes to the starting of your sled until it has started and reached a set rpms (can't remember the rpm) then the it opens for power to all the other systems like head light, handwarmer, aux, and so forth... This is done to reduce the demand on the battery at startup.
