Am I crazy?

I have owned my 06 Apex for 5 Years...Got the itch for something new to me..So I posted my sled up for sale...Had a guy call me last night wanting to buy it..5800.00 cash in hand....Called him back 10 minutes later and told him not to come up, I can't sell the sled... it runs so well and is very comfortable, and DEPENDABLE...I am afraid of not getting another sled that is so good...Should I have taken the cash? I don't know...I was really torn on what to do...I still have his number...

You are not crazy,..... but that is what I paid for a 06 GT in 08 and about 1000 more than they are going for around here now.

I feel the same way......I have a 07 apex that has given me everything I ever wanted from a snowmobile and feels new to me every year I drive it. Yes I have added and tweeked and changed a few things but I have done that to every sled I have driven over 40 yrs of riding. I just have had no desire to buy a newer sled though I like the new viper and even like the 4 stroke ski doo 1200 but will try and wear this one out first! I can see myself just never selling it even if I buy some else new.

My buddy has a 09 Nytro and I like the sled...Not too keen on the handlebar angle.. Atlantic Rec has a 09 Nytro xtx on for 6900.00....Also there was a 08 Nytro xtx in Bay Bulls on for 6200.00 Hard to know what to do..

Those were mine ... both shorties stretched to 144" ... ... loved the power but after 4 years just got tired of fighting with the sled and didn't think that you should have to dump $$$$ so much money into a production sled to get it to ride decent (front end & skid work) .... Yamaha goofed on the Nytro design ... too much weight too far forward and too high up!

Viper seems like it's set up much better re weigh distribution but friends have the cat 1100's and they are still heavy in the front especially off trail which is where we ride. Went 2S route this time around .... will wait for a few years to see if Yamaha decides to really step up or call it quits (rebranded cat looks to me like a soft exit in the works with Yam becoming an engine provider - OK option but just get on with it)

BTW both Nytro's sold @ $6000 / each

That was a good price for an 06,that's an 8 year old sled,they are awesome sleds,but every model year after that are as good and better with all the improvements,myself,when its time to sell,i dont look back,cuz i know the next yammi i purchase will give me the same satisfaction,but no,your not crazy,your a snowmobiler

Seriously I have an 06. Apex, I have since bought two vectors and a venture gt. All GTs and still have my 98 XTC Deluxe

I too have a hard time selling sleds that have been good to me.

I know I should sell two- the 98 XTC and the APEX But......

Just keep it .you know everything about it.if you buy used you know nothing unless you know the guy.

I cant sell anything i own ! i just put money into them and make them better and better. love my Apex !

Are you kidding me here... Sell it. The new apex with power steering and 128" skid is way better then the 06.
