Thanks to Mr Sled for the hospitality for today's informal tuning session. To avoid leaving someone out I'd like to say thanks to those who helped along the way. We had a great group of guys in attendance.
We made some real progress with my clutching. Still needs some work, but for the first time I saw 90+mph. In fact I saw 92 mph for a brief time. If we can get the revs up a bit more and cure the belt slipping on the top end I think I'll be happy with it.

What settings are you at now ?

Secondary is now stock pink 6-1 with Ulmer helix shimmed to prevent coil blind.
Primary is 1T in heel and that is it.
RPM's about 8800 so still room to climb, but no tip weight left to lose. Every setup that we tried leaves visible smearing on the sheaves near full shift range.
Conditions were near ideal. I do think when I get in deeper snow it will probably just slip worse. Hoping to improve further.

At least there is hope for us 1.7 le guys. 6-1 setting, and the washers to shim the helix ?

It was a great time in the shop. This is why I love running this site. I would like to do this more often. I truly believe a ton was learned by all. TD you are welcome... I wanted to see that sled go fast for you and I think we finally put a nice smile on your face. Thanks to all that came out.

I should probably add that last run for my sled before loading up terry managed 94 mph in a perfect tuck.
Question: What were the "normal" non turbo sleds running for MPH out there? 101mph I believe? Would they hold this once achieved or would they drop 3-4 mph and pick back up as the icy patches were replaced with snow etc?

101 mph was the speed of day. Something I found unbelievable for the variety of mods out there. Yes I saw more and sometimes less in certain patches. What floors me is I saw that 101 more than once going up that gradual hill. Once it hit it it would hold it. Problem was getting it there. So yes at least for me it always held it till I let off. Boosted Nytro and I were thinking about it on way home. Called NosPro and had him disconnect the speed sensor. Hopes were up high. No Go. Did nothing. Kinda takes the ECU out of the picture as far as I know. Was thinking they had a dang speed limiter on there. Its still possible but it would be a much more complicated way of doing it. Or could just be gearing and the clutches are used up.

I believe that cannondale27, NOS-PRO and I were all at 101-102 consistently with our gearing. I would hold the 101-102 but ran out of trail so had to let off otherwise I feel it held the speed pretty well. Even flashed from a consistent 102 to 103 a few times but only for a second.

I also found that interesting. All with different set ups and all 3 sleds were different (RTX, LTX and XTX) and we were all at the same speed. The only thing left to do would be to swap complete set ups(clutches, intakes, exhausts and PCs) to see if the speed stays consistent between sleds.

Yes I agree. How did the suspension adjustments work out? Better or worse?

Something is holding us back and when we find it look out!
