I caught the 06's in Burlington, VT last night. Nice to meet you Tony! I thought they looked great and the free DVD is a hoot. Man I wish I could ride deep powder as effortlessly as those guys do. Anyway, I thought the APEX's were sweet looking. The new taller seats don't look anywhere near as out of proportion as they do in the pictures. I looked over the "new" deltabox II chassis closely (they had one stripped of the plastic) and it looks just like my 03 Deltabox I chassis to me. Different pod and plastic, but everything else looks the same. I know the front end parts are Vector style spindles, but all else looks like RX1 to me. The NYTRO was cool. Although, I have plans of going with the BOSS hightop, art. riser, CAT skid and chopped windshield this summer, so I think I'll have a decent NYTRO Clone, except heavier, more power, and not so good front shocks, but I own the 03 so why not? It'll still look cool! By the way, anyone thinking of using the 06 Nytro seat and bars on your RX1 to get rider forward, go for it. They are the same chassis. I took a bunch of pics to compare and I'm sure it'll bolt right on. All you'll have to do is modify your tank cover. Chop off a little plastic with an air cutter and your good to go! You'll also have to lower your windshield to accomodate the forward bars. I haven't ridden one, but it sure looks like no wind protection at all on the Nytro. The ergos of the Nytro feel a lot like a Fusion with the bars about middle position. They could easily be shoved farther forward on the Nytro to get more of a rev, over the skis feel. Overall I liked the new looks, but can't afford the $$ to get one so I'll spruce up the 03 this Summer and get ready for next December!

Could you post the pictures. I'd love to see the difference in steering post and linkage mounting. As you stated, I suspect that is the only difference in the chassis. There ought to be a way to fab a retrofit. I have an 05, hopefully they come up with some upgrades to fix the durability issues on the monoshock for us first year guys.

I don't have pics of the steering linkage for the deltabox II. The pod assembly is integrated into the airbox and stays in place when the hood is removed. It covers up everything under there. You don't need to move the steering column to get the rider forward ergos, though. The Nytro is the same dash and column with the bars articulated forward. Can easily do it on the RX1. Just need to chop the windshield down like the Nytro. I sat on the Apex and Nytro several times and they feel the same to me. Of course I'm sure riding them is a different story, but to sit there, the position feels the same.

You too Joe. Sure wish I brought my digital camera to take pics...duh..

I really like the new gage too.. But Im not sure why we need to know the barometric presure to ride a sled. Maybe the FI does for engine mapping so they just gave it as an extra...???*_(*_()

I do not like the funky windshields much and I would imagine they will be very cold. The tail light is just plain ugly. The dual small round Yamaha tail light should just never change. The new one looks too Japanese along with the funky windshield.

But forget all that, these Apex just go like hello and feel lighter than they are,,, and even smoooooother........

I would rather have it show the outside temp., since the engine mapping must use that also.

bar. pressure rising means good weather coming/bar. pressure falling means a storm coming. The rate of change down can give some indication of intensity for a storm. At least, thats what someone tried to teach me once. Good for mountain folks and wild country riders, I guess. Fancy mountain climber gizmos sport them all the time at wicked prices.

I agree that the tail light does look funky but what does it look like when on?
