Anti bottoming kit

saw on yamaha site anti bottoming kit for phazer with soft susspension thought it might help so i ordered it but my dealer hadn't sold one before so couldn't tell me much about it anyone use it or have any info for me

is that just the bolt with a big cylinder of rubber on the end.
they just stop the torsion springs from bottoming out. there is a few positions to put them in.

my dads got them on his vector.

probably can make them cheaper.

your description fits the picture do you thik it will help with the bottoming out my mtx is probaly worse than other models beceause of long tunnel

yes it should help, think of it like this. A spring without a Bottoming kit is like using a 3/4 ratchet on a 1/2 bolt, pretty easy to turn. NOW when the spring arm hits the Bottoming kit bumper it significantly shortens the effectiveness of the spring arm and its like trying to tighten the same 1/2" bolt with a 1/4" ratchet, it takes ALOT more force to turn. If you watch how the phazer suspension work the springs "lever" already gets shorter by a few inches as it travels up, its a rising rate suspension, the springs coils get closer to the idler wheel that holds the slider. I've though about making a kit for mine and trying install it so it only effects the last 2" of travel.

I once saw a post on here with pictures of the Bottoming kit and where it mounts and have not been able to find it with searches can, anyone help ?

just got my anti bottom kit but came from yamaha in sandwich bag no instructins tried to find post like vmax540 said but was unsuccessful can anyone help. local dealer has never installed one before

there is 3 holes behind the big bogey wheel in front (wheel on outside of rail)
settings are soft medium hard. not sure which order.

so i just place it in say centre and connects with spring before bottoming out sounds easy some info i've found says may cause kick back but not a chance with my phaz mtx
