Seeing as how this very well could be the last ride of the year for most of us, i thought i would see if anyone wants to extend the demo ride on the front end. anyone can join me for a few days earlier in the week at my bro's place outside of Hurley. I was thinking leaving sometime on Sunday Or Monday. Get a few days of riding in that area first. Then make the short 3 hr drive to Munising Thurs.
Here's what we got. It's a 2nd home, so....I would need some small donations to help pay for the Plow guy to come and clear out the driveway/parking lot (yea i said parking lot!). and a little to go towards heat. and lastly a few bucks because we pay a cleaning lady to come take all the sheets and wash them, etc. $50 to $100 total for 2 or 3 night sound fair? whatever you could afford. i really would like some people to go, so if you honestly said, "peter, i would love to, but i can't afford to give you 50 cents!" I would say, no problem. get yer azz out here anyway!
it's a cozy 100 yr old Farm house on 53 acres. Trail 17 runs right through his property which borders the U.P. there's a Nice little play area. Always has good snow. The parking area (all compacted gravel) will easily hold 5 vehicles and trailers. The house has 6 beds. 3 are doubles 3 are single beds. plus we got a couch and floor space if needed.
Just want to see if there is any serious interest. it would be fun to get a nice little group.
also, let me know if anyone is interested in going up before the demo ride. i would like to get another trip in the next week or two....let me know?

this is an addendum to 'asking for money'. i don't want anyone to feel i'm being 'tacky' so i will explain thouroghly. this is my brothers place. he is far from a wealthy guy. in fact he barely affords this place. but he loves it (primarily in summer). he is not much of a winter sport guy. he has told me he would prefer to just close up the house for the winter.(drain & blow out water pipes/pour antifreeze in toilets, drain traps/shut down heat, let the snow pile up in driveway, etc. but i convinced him to keep it open. i told him i would do whatever it takes to bring groups up and help cover filling the propane tank/heating costs. also, the driveway has to be maintained, the plow guy can't let it get too deep. lasltey, he has no washer/dryer so we pay a lady in town to come out, grab all the sheets, wash them, and put them back on. hope that explains things.

That's freakin awesome, Peter!!! believe me, if I had enough vacation time left from work, I would be all over this opportunity!!! I'm sure you will have no problem getting some guys together, just wish one of them was gonna be me!!!

I see where you said you haven't worked in 10 weeks ( in middle of winter no less) and all I can say is.......... dang, your my hero.

unfortunatley that's not by choice guy. i'm a pretty good saver, because i'm usually slow in winter months...but not like this. i got nothin'!
