400 km on hard packed (hunters in pickup trucks) logging roads with some loose on the edges, it's an incredible sled all stock even carbides and skis. These Sidewinders are FAST !!! the pull is constant my stomach still hurts lol ( need to do crunches) handles excellant and the QS3r's are amazing !!! I'm super impressed and can't wait to ride again. Totally diffrent from a Viper, not just power but comfort and handling is much improved. I beilieve everybody with a Sidewinder will be super impressed !!! Giver !!!

- Sidewinder BTX LE
I've ridden about 55miles on my Btx LE in horrible conditions and it's absolutely incredible. We have a couple of inches of snow but no trails has been groomed at all so it's very narrow, really rough and allot of very scary looking irregularities underneath the unridden snow. Even if a Btx is far away from designed for this conditions it excells, although you really feel it's weight when almost idling at sub 10mph but as soon the trail opens up a little bit it's as the weight dissappears.
Thankfully we have some shallow frozen lakes were you can let her breath a bit and it's absolutely terrifying amazing. When she finds some traction and hook up I simply scream out loud of joy and terror.
It's going to be an awesome winter.

I managed to get 74 miles on my RTX Le and love it so far.
To me the qs3r shocks are worth the money. Last year I had Axi front shocks and elka stage 5 rear on my viper but would say that the sidewinder is a smoother ride right now.
My setup right now is:
-front shocks set on #1 with rebound in the middle
-front springs left at factory setting. They are compressed 4"
-rear shocks set at #2 with rebound set 4 clicks away from being backed right off
-rear spring set at #2 on the blocks
- center shock I left at factory setting. It can only be turned out a little more and there won't be any threads left
- left the straps set at factory right now. I usually tighten them one notch but will wait.
I found a field with some rolling hills to jump and this setup handles it very well. Only managed to bottom the rear out once but other than that the landings were very soft. Setting the shocks on 3 should give you all the compression this skid can handle.
The clutching is definitely weak on the bottom. I checked my secondary and it was wrapped at 3-3. I just turned it up 10 degrees which should give it some more bottom end and faster back shift. I'll report back when there is snow again.
To me the secondary spring is weak but its a new secondary so I will just play with what I got before I buy any of the vendors super duper clutch kits that need much more testing.
We have "great" vendors on here working hard to produce go fast products, but this is an all new machine. Give it some time to let some of this stuff get tested before you splash your credit card all over....believe me I have done this before with new products and hasn't always worked in my favor.

How is the transfer on the 129?

It transfers ok the way it's setup. Transfer blocks on the second setting and limiter straps factory setting.
If I set it up for just trail riding like my previous viper the transfer isn't great. That's with the limiters tightened one hole and least transfer on the blocks.
It's not like my axys where u either sit back and wheelie or sit up and have great handling

I was curious if it was the same as your previous viper? I was told they changed the front arm on the 129 this yr to match the 137. I wondered if it still had the good transfer that the 16 129s had.
