Any shot vs a 1995 Polaris Storm?

Storm- Everything stock but studs

My Nytro- 144 studs,C&A Razors and a Super Q exhaust




Do I have any shot vs him or should I start thinking of the excuses now?

I haven't ran a storm but from what I remember you should have no trouble with him in the short run but if memory is correct he should be faster on top end if it is working well. Those old indys were pretty quick.

Most any New 500CC sled will spank those old Storms. They had XLT clutching in them, and were slower than heck. With clutching, tuning, they will run, but Polaris really botched the set-up on them back in the day.

My buddy had a 94 Storm, and my 05 Rev 500SS was light years faster than it was. That rev was a 105 HP sled!!!! Your Nytro is pushing 140 Hp, so should be funny as heck to destroy him.

As far as I'm concerned there were two fast tripples of that era, and the Storm is not one of them.

This has got to be the dumbest question I have ever seen on here. No offence 08' Nytro RTX, but it is...you should be able you spank him alittle harder than your monkey anyway....LOL!

Race'em and see what happens! I'd think the Storm would give it a good run if it is running okay and you race for a long distance like on a lake. The Nytro is quick, but it is not a top speed sled.

While I've never raced my Nytro and Vector head to head for top speed, I think my Vector is faster top end while my Nytro is quicker to 90.

Well a sled with 150 hp 800 triple I did not think it would be slow.

we used to race a storm back in the day, The amount of time and work you had to put into them to make them run fast is nuts. 99% of the people never did the work to go fast. You should whoop him, Unless by chance it is our old sled or the other 1 in NY area that was fast.
Top end he will run you down if it has any clutching done to it, polaris screwed the pooch on that sled set up wise.

If set up right that sled didn't get beat by much, just my experience with it.

Storms had to be POLARIS worse nightmaire I use to keep up with them with my '98 XLT in the good old days...but a 800 XCR is a different story those are ROCKETS and still are! keep us posted...

Ummm..... a 1995 Storm is NOT 150 horse. Whatever this guy is smoking must be good stuff.

A '95 Storm was rated at 133 stock. With pipes, 10-12 more. They also weighed about 3.5 lbs less than a 1995 Cadillac.
