I'm going from a 2009 Apex Ltx Gt to the 2012 SE and I'm looking for a tuning starting point with all three Fox Floats? I weigh probably close to 240 geared up and like to ride very aggressive.

My dealer, Powersports 1, did a perfect set up on my last sled, I suspect they will again but the rear mega float can not be adjusted on the fly like my last sled.

Thank you!

I'm in the same boat as you. I came from an 07 Attak GT. First time for floats for me. Based upon the R&D reported from Mrsled I had Hygear re-valve and add their volume reducer to the rear Mega. The fronts are stock.

Geared up I weigh about the same as you and also ride aggressively. I suspect I'll be messing around with pressures quite a bit on my first ride, but like you am unsure of a recommended starting point.

Hope to hear from a seasoned SE owner on your question.

Congrats on the new ride!

Hmmm, first I have heard about the Hygear re-valve? Please tell me more if you get a chance?

Thank you!

Congrats on your new ride too, should be a great winter for both of us!

What I have read on the forum is that some are completely satisfied with the Mega performance and there are others that say it bottoms too easily if you adjust the air pressure down to smooth out the stutters.

I have used Hygear for valving on other sleds and was quite pleased. After contacting them to discuss, I found the cost to install their system into the Mega was not that much and based upon my experience with their products, I decided to have the upgrade done prior to even trying it out.

I will have limited seat time this coming season so I chose this route.

Hope this helps!
