Ok you guys, I,m fairly green in this area. I bought my wife a new Vector GT. She blew up her last sled (02 / 700 Classic M10) on last years girls weekend. You know how the women are when there are no guys around..............they ride around with it pinned to the bar all the time. She grenaded the engine running against her sister. Anyways make a long stry short, her sister got a new FST Classic this year. How will it go against the FST?
I personally haven't raced a polaris fst, but from what I've heard the gt will take it out of the hole and walk away.
I give your sister in-law a year on that fst and she'll be wanting a real 4-stroke.

Speed or not to speed............. The main thing is the vector motors are flawless.... The poo-poo motors has had a # of problems.. The vector is smoooooooooother. Better gas mileage. They just don't use any oil... To me it's a no brainer... P.S. I'm not much into speed, so I really can't help you there. MM.

As a former owner of over a dozen Polaris', I bought a 2005 Vector and despite some well publicized rear skid issues (have since put M10 in), would NEVER go any other way. THe FST had had it share of SERIOUS, ride stopping, vacation ruining problems. THe Vector? pretty much NONE! 1st yr (2005) TORS issue could shut you down but that's all gone now.
THe FST even weighs MORE than the Vector....like 40 nlbs or something like that. Gas mileage for the FST if in the mid teens I hear while the Vector is pretty solid in the 17-20 range.
ThE FST is probably a warmer sled to ride, and it had the 128" M-10 in it doesn't it? The monoshock skid on the Vector is great, but it's still not an M-10.
Dont have time to type more here. PM me if you want and I can tell you more.
