You are right that power valves are not in use now but dont count these out in the future, they work very well.

Used on my buddy's VMAX (Bike)...pretty cool. You can feel when they open!

Wonder, you are thinking of "V" Boost.

Oh really? I wasn't sure what it was actually called. All I know is there is a secondary set of valves that open up at a specified RPM.

Just to clarify my earlier "Power Valve" statement. I meant to say the power valves on the Mountain SRX not the RX-1 mountain. Oops. this mistake has brought up some intersting conversation though

Give me a 450 lb. turbo charged four stroke twin with 125 h.p. in a mountain sled and I'd be happy.

At 6000 rpm V-Boost induction kicks in, force-feeding the engine, via a servo-controlled butterfly valve, huge mouthfuls of unleaded.

Mighty Warrior, it may be more accurate to say "huge mouthfuls of air " heavily laden with your favorite brand of unleaded.
Isn't the air induction system on the VMAX motorcycle very similar to what the Viper uses?

How's this: intake pulses from adjacent cylinders force incoming air back through the venturi and this double pass picks up more mixture

That's great!
