On my last trip I had the exhaust pipe where the 3 pipes come together into the collector before they go into the muffler completely come apart. I mean the bottom half of the collector is gone so looking up under the sled I can look straight into the 3 pipes leading up to the motor. I had to ride like 100 miles back to the cabin like this and let me tell you it was like driving a top fuel dragster for 100 freaking miles. I don't think my ears will ever be the same. Has anyone else had this happen? Anyone have a stock header pipe I can buy cheap? Then to top it off I had a buddy ride it for the last 10 miles since my ears were totally blown out and as he pulls in the sled doesn't want to turn very easy because the stupid upper ball joint had the bolt fall out and the ski was laying on its side as he pulled in. So now I also need the right hand spindle since it hogged out the mounting hole from wobbling around for an unknown number of miles so any deals on a spindle let me know. I'm assuming its the right hand since when I sit on the sled its the one on my right hand side. So I rode the rest of the weekend on my 09 XP 800r X sled that didn't give me one problem since the day I bought it last year. Wasn't expecting my Yamaha to give me these kind of headaches.

Been there almost exactly, my pipe just last week broke in the same spot, so I modified it and tig welded in a full 2" piece to the muffler for the collector. Plus I had one of the bellows expansion pieces crack into two piece also, I just welded that too.

Look on Ebay, I was just watching a complete exhaust system no sale at $100 dollars, so that item might be back on again.

I think I saw the same auction but it had one bid at the closing for $100, guy wanted $65 bucks for shipping and I think it came with the flex joints and everything. Did you find the stainless piece to weld in place pretty cheap?

I do a lot of stainless process welding and fabrication so I had some 2" tubing that I made a new piece out of. i'll post a few pictures of it.

I'm sure that was the same auction, I thought it still was a good deal for $165

I have stock headers. $50 + shipping.
