Anyone catch SledHead 24/7 last night?

sled head

they said ok things. I noticed some body roll in one segment they showed seemed to me to roll more than the 1100 turbo in the same type of turn. just a thought. I still saw the engine is to high in the chassis but we wont know until the masses get ahold of it. These same mag guys had good things to saw about the nitro

No ...Did they say good things.....
Nope. they didn't seem impressed with it or Artic cat. They did like the power of the 1100 Turbo, but that was it.

I have never let any magazine report or snowmobile show report sway me one way or the other......after all it is only there opinion, and we all know what they say about opinions.

They said the Viper seemed to get sketchy and wanted to swap ends and buck sideways when pushed hard in the bumps. It did not look good in the bumps or corners on the video for sure. Paul Mack said they had some work to do to catch the other OEM's. They said the same about the Cats in the other segments, Cat was not up to the others and had work to do, yet they gave the trail segment to the new ElTigre 600. Who knows? It's the same dang chassis for cripes sake! The Yamaha engine does sit higher in comparison to the Cat though. I'm sure that has something to do with it.

I'm actually quite surprised the Viper didn't get better reviews. More often than not, the "new" sleds get the nod coming to market.

They talked good about the Cats in 2012 when they came out, but they seem to have lost interest quickly with them. Even talking about the extreme heft on the turbo version wearing one out quickly. I can attest to that one!

Well I will give it a try next year if I don't like it I always have the 2014 1200 x to ride...my wife just won't have anything to ride :jump:

I don't care what they say now, the final production sled will awesome!!! :sled1:

You know until a show lines up the sleds or shows each sled going threw a whoops section or the same corner with a radar gun on them I really dont value any of their footage much. I read SnowTech because of their Tech articles but put very lttile value on much else out there. Could be great shows if they did the type of testing I am talking about but they dont so who cares?

This chassis sits really high compared to the last AC chassis. I find mine somewhat tippy with the 800. If the Nytro motor sits higher and has extra rotating mass at the top like all 4 strokes, it might be a bit of a handfull.

Cant be any worse than the nytro.
You got that right.....when I rode it ..it was very flat in the corners not tippy at all....handling was way better than the nytro so I'm thinking its not going to be a hand full at all......now my nytro can be a hand full
