Anyone catch SledHead 24/7 last night?

This is one of the first bad reviews I have heard about the viper. Honestly it has me rather concerned. I read every magazine article I could find and every test drive review i could read before snow checking mine. I wasn't able to drive one myself so I can't speak first hand how good or bad they are. I'm coming from a phazer so I am looking forward to the power and how great everyone says it handles..... until i read this

You may be on to something here. Nytro riders seem to have the highest praise for the Viper, but they are coming off arguably the worst handling sled on the market right now stock. Guys with experience on better handling sleds don't seem impressed. I have two buddies that test rode them and who I put my faith in and neither were impressed. One owns a 2011 Apex XTX and the other owns a 2010 Renegade 1200

I test rode a 1200 gade and was extremely unimpressed with its handling compared to the viper, that's why I snow checked what I did. Opinions are like assholes. Its probably the best handling sled ive ridden. Loved it.

You must not be an experience rider then :jump: like some are :jump:

I guess we will all see come come fall/winter! Fingers are crossed

Love the negative comments, can't wait to get the production model and wear that big smile after my first ride on the best of both worlds, proven chassis, proven engine!!!

I will tell you what. Not even knowing if your Phazer is modded or knowing how you ride. I will put $50 on the line that after your first ride you will say how much easier your Viper is to ride fast. Not a bet but I will give you $50 if you honestly think your Phazer is easier to ride than your new Viper. Do me a favor though and write down the names of the guys you ride with that you think are faster than you when you are on your Phazer even in the twisties. Why? because the Viper will be so much easier to ride that it will seem slow until you realize that you are keeping up or leaving behind those fast guys you wrote down.

Mighty read the above statement. Then ask the Apex and Doo guys I ride with what their excuse is for a little Phazer handing it to them or at least sticking like glue to them anytime the trail gets rough and twisty. PM me for names since I am sure they will not come on here and admit it here. Quit talking about what others say. Unless you have some firsthand experience I for one really dont care what you think other than the fact your secondhand info is being taken by some as fact. You are wrong and not being helpful.

I had instant confidance when I went around the first corner on the viper. The viper I rode was set up very very well.

This sled will give many riders a huge smile.

You have had nothing good to say about the viper since it came out! We get it you don't like it....ski-doo is the only one that matters according to you, so what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be over on HCS or Dootalk? You keep quoting all the NEGATIVE things that are being said about the viper but nothing positive.I was always told when growing up that "if you have nothing good to say then say nothing at all" and for those of you that will retort with things like "take the blue blinders off" and things of that nature...This is a Yamaha site!!

Not even close. It's very similar to my Phazer. Somewhat tippy but it won't tip over easily. Lifts the inside ski and takes some body English to make it turn. Now mine is a 141 with a 2.25 track so that may have something info with it.

Agreed^ Not a worry at all, 100% confident the production model will be fantastic! If not, I will get it there ;)!
