Anyone else falling back in LOVE with snowmobiling?

i feel more in love with sledding last year when i finally bought my own sled, been riding my dads old phazer and then using his mountain max when the phazer died.
Last year i put on 1900kms, most of it with my grandpa who is 80 and has been sledding since the begining and its just a blast to be able to spend that time with him. Hearing his stories and learning from him.

I have only been on a sled since 2000. I never saw the sense to "PURPOSELY" go out in the cold. I thought you were all nuts.
Then I got talked into an older phaser with something like 196 studs. lol Well,my first ride in my life, I was coming up this hill, and not knowing much better, I hit the gas to make sure I made the top. Gave her to much gas and I got air when I summited the hill. Scared the crap out of me. I pulled the sled over, and had a smoke as my hand shaked. Then after I calmed down, I realized I had liked what just happened, and the rest is what we say is history.

For me, I feel free on a sled. All the problems in life that we all have on a daily basis are temporarily gone. My head is in a totally different place, doesn't much matter where I am at as long as I am on the sled moving.

I do need to take in more of the sites though and maybe slow the sled down a bit. I am known to miss things off to the side of the trail because I am always looking strait ahead.

I always am (in love) and excited about snowmobiling its my vacation everytime i ride wether a weekend or a week or day even I have a grueling off season with racing and work, so i cant wait til the snow flies and i get out and see the sites people etc.Its always a adventure and to spend time with good friends and family is just about the best thing one would want. Also since going 4-stroke rideing is much more enjoyable less noise and no smoke more reliability Good luck to all cya soon be safe

Been riding since I was so young my Dad had to start my AC 292 lynx and go back in side. I would ride all night till my bedtime.

Got out of it while in college because of no money but managed to 'borrow' equipment to satisfy the need through those years. Graduated, good job, good money, time for a sled.

Now I am slightly obessed with the sport and my sled in particular, but i noticed this year now that it has every mod I am less freakish about it and can just enjoy changing the oil and getting her all ready for the year. My goal now is miles.

This summer we got the chance to take a 4 wheeler trip on the same trails as the snowmobiles run on in the winter, and I tell ya its almost as much fun. We got the chance to stop at little lakes that were frozen and we flew by at a 80mph the winter previous. Hoping to get my wife into 4 wheeling and as I see it as more up her alley then sledding. (ie heat and sun)

I think I will forever needing to be on a machine of some sort though, can't see myself losing interest until I have no one to ride with.

I love to snowmobile , but it's starting to hurt my wallet a lot mainly because i keep my family involved with it.

With out snowmobiling i would KILL myslef..

I would go nuts in the winter with nothing else to do..
