I bought my Phazer after the sellers Fning cats made a scratching post out of the seat top..... My local upholstery guy replaced the top vinyl, added a 1/2 pad and pleated the top for a much softer feel all for $30.00 !

How do you pop the seat off?

One screw on each side in the middle of the seat, then push down and pull back.

Why would you want to make the seat wider? Thats the great advantage of our phazers how narrow and motocross bike feel type thing lol

I love my seat but almost everyone who has ridden my sled that has a bigger butt than me wants a bigger seat.So there is a need out there. For me the narrow seat is a WideGlide deterent not that I would need that since I am married

The days that I ride 200 plus miles and sometimes on saddle bag trips my butt starts to hurt on those long trips. Just not enough support. Not that I am a lard #*$&@ or smart #*$&@(my wife probably would disagree) but maybe a inch wider on each side is what I was thinking. My previous 8 yamaha sleds i never had that problem. I don't think cause I just turned 40 either has anything to do with it. I still love my phazer
It ROCKS and Rolls. Just turned 6500 miles on it and still working on fine tuning it and getting all the kinks out of it. Hopefully I'll have all the kinks worked out by the time I need to adjust the valves.

Will, your wife sounds like a very perceptive and honest person.
After 40, your needs and wants will change, and you wont realize it until around 45, and then you will realize you've been more needy for about 5 years.
i'm 46 and i wouldnt trade my phazer for anything.

Yes, Well I have always said I am the head of the household, but my wife told me she is the neck and the neck always turns the head. I hate it when she is always right. She told me now that winter is here I can go off my medication and everything will be all right. Amazing what a little white gold falling out of the sky called snow will do for a persons mental attitude and stability. Only thing better is riding the phazer. On a side note I did break down and buy her a new skidoo gtx this year it just about killed me, I was sick for about a week after making that purchase but once again she reminded me a "happy wife is a happy Life". I think I may have gotten off the seat issue but that is what is great about this site it is therapuetic

Man is that right on!
I got a used Phazer over the summer and just have spent unforseen $$$ on it getting the suspension right/ some other little things. She's been on edge with the expense but saw my 2 buddies & I out tearing up the yard yesterday with a huge grin on my face when she came home from Xmas shopping and says, "you better be gone on that thing every night now"! Oh yeah, "wanna take a rip"? She says "no, you go play" Yes dear.
She's got an '04 A/C Z570 but rarely likes to ride when it's cold out (go figure)

"Happy Wife, happy life" so true
