I know this was a huge issue on the 05 RX1 but I thought they updated it. What is the proper fix if this happens on an Apex? Is there another update? Thanks.

Mine broke... but I should state for the record that it happend when I pulled my shock out and forgot to remove the cable first.
Anyway I think it costs around $9.00. The price isn't bad but obviously the labor or time to change it is not fun. I would just make sure that you have it routed correctly and fully locked in position at the boot area. I check mine before each ride just to make sure it hasn't moved or shifted out of the holder. Other than that I am not aware of any update to the cable. I would say that it seems to hold up well considering it's location. As I said the only issue I had was self induced.

Mine broke too. I replaced it. I think I got the part covered under warranty.

I went thru 3 of those cables on the RX1. 2 after the the update was installed. That is one of the reasons I went to the 07 RTX. No cables or wires.
