8lbs of boost on a turbo is not the same as 8lbs on a supercharger. I ran 9lbs on my SC on pump fuel with no issues and none of the heat problems that come with a turbo. If you're riding trails I would take the SC for the throttle response.

So, how did you sled blow up?

His sled didn't blow up. his Oil filer cut and drained all the oil out.

The mpi system weighs 35 lbs this is shipping weight i just shipped a kit out. I assume 30lbs is added to the sled.

Heath,
I talked with you on the phone about 6 months ago, and YOU told me 45lbs, I even asked you to double check that because it seemed high to me, you assured me it was correct and told me I wouldent feel the extra weight once I had all the extra horsepower on board??????????????

Why a different story today, has the kit been updated since then ?

Well Im sure while talking to you i had just shipped a kit full of other components.

Cause i was wrong again (damn me)

So i went and put a basic kit on the scales nothing extra and took a picture

So here it is 26.05

Heath,
One of the reasons I purchased a Yamaha 4stroke was so I could put an MPI SC kit on it after the engine was broken in. I had been looking at your kits for years online. After talking w/you that day I was crushed, 45lbs !! So I started looking at other options and was leaning towards the Ulmers turbo kit.

I'm glad that the real numbers are almost half what you thought, I'm back on board !!

Thanks Heath

MJ,

Sorry about the mis information not sure where i came up with the 45 lb number.

there is alot of packaging also so i assume the installed weight will be few pounds less.

Thanks
