Looking for info on clutch set up, gearing, remapping etc. I'm currently about to install the RSI switch relocators for the hand/thumb warmers and the throttle block. Anyone try putting on a Backcountry snowcross track? Thanks

That is absolutely not the sled you want to race SX. XC has also struggled....

Why do you say that? Looks like they held their own at Duluth?

Cross country racing is doable. The sleds Yamaha raced in Duluth and Bessemer, as well as the sled Doug Henry raced yesterday are 2013 Arctic Cat Sno Pro's that were modified by Yamaha to take the 4 stroke engine and look like the sled Yamaha is selling. They are very different chassis in several important ways. The viper has the same geometry as a 2012 Arctic Cat race sled. Tucker Hibbert had a hard time winning with it. Add an extra 50 pounds higher up in the chassis...

What are the differences in the chassis from the Artic Cat race sled and the Viper? Is that verified because my dealer called his area rep for info and it came back that it was a reinforced Viper chassis?

It can be very competitive in XC, Snox has a long way to go at this point. If you need XC set-up just let me know

Please help clarify something for me. 2014 Viper has 2014 Cat spindles, 2014 Cat shorter slide rails mounted in a diff position than 2012 Cat. Or are you saying the 2012 racing Cat has same geometry as the 2014 Viper with the shorter rails and newer spindles?

The 2012 AC racer was much closer to the original procross design only WAY beefed up. The 13 and up AC Race sleds are significantly different. Shock lengths are different, tunnel angle, running boards, mounting holes etc. All I know is although the sleds look alike from a distance, close up they are way different. You don't realize how different until you put a procross chassis next to the 13 and up AC race sled. I'm not saying the Viper/procross design is bad, it is VERY good. It dominated XC racing in 12, but it did struggle in SX hence the changes.
