just as the title says. Looking to run slydog wheels on 07 rtx skid. But dont know what to order for sizes and bearing, any help??

Is this a good or bad idea to go with these wheels?

I have them on my 08 FX Nytro RTX. I believe they are 535's on the front, and 725's in the rear. Mine came with the bearings, so you shouldn't need to specify that in your order. They have worked well for me, can't say anything but positive things about them. I was actually one of the few on here who didn't need a Hyfax change, probably because of the wheels. I had 6000 kms on my original sliders when I changed them this year ( just to be safe ) and when I inspected them, they were good for another season easy. Nice wheels that not only work, they grab people's attention and get compliments. ;)!

is it true they dont just bolt on to an apex skid? I've heard people say they need to be machined to fit or something like that?

Order them from Ulmer, they will know exactly what you need! Great to deal with to, and they support this site!!! I have a set on the XTX and Apex.....

Slydog wheels have the 6205 bearings so they are not the same size bearing as the stock yamaha wheels. You can just bolt them on the outside of the rails with no problems. But the inside is different and I dont know about the apex suspension so I dont know what it involves.

I put the slydog wheels on the inside of my nytro rtx up in the front and they got destroyed in a few hundred miles. Switched to ski-doo wheels for the inside and they are holding up perfect (and they had 7000 miles on them already!).

Front idlers outside the rails.
Size: 5.35"
Bearing ID: 25mm

Rear idlers.
Size: 7.25"
Bearing ID: 20mm
