Anyone trail riding with slydog command skis?

I’m not super impressed with the cat ski and trackers, I personally think the tuner 3 ski with trackers handle better than the cat ski with trackers.
Thanks to VX1R I have a set of command ski which I’m waiting to try.

The Slydogs can hold their own off trail too with the weight of the SideWinder...

I have a Winder here with slydog command skis Got to ride it around my property and they seem like a really nice ski.
Anyone have with some time on the trail with these skis?
Looking for reviews

Thanks
Have you got to log any trail miles yet? If so, how do you like them? Do they have any decent off trail capabilities?

If you're looking for something a little better off trail consider the Slydog Powderhounds. They are a wider ski to keep you on-top of the snow. The Command skis are best on hard packed, groomed trails.

What carbides are you running? At the time I bought the command skis they only had 9” shaper bars available so I bought those, got my limiter strap at longest setting no ski shock preload and I find the steering to be very hard, not sure if it’s the skis or carbides causing the hard steering.

Honestly, I'm not sure what carbides they are. I purchased them from Slydog at the same time I purchased the skis and mount kit. Pretty sure it will be the shape of the keel below the carbide that makes it hard to steer.

Edit: Just checked my order. Carbides are 6" Stud Boy Shaper.

How do you find your steering?

Steering is fine. I put 121 miles on yesterday and arms aren't sore. Suspension is how it came from dealer other than moving rear bolt to top hole and going up one notch on the rear torsion spring. Straps and pre-loads are all factory.

Must be the carbides, mine is a bear to turn.

I had 6” shaper bars on my 2012 w sky dog trail skis they worked great not a lot of steering effort Those shapers are pretty aggressive. I wouldn’t go over 6” if I put them on my tcat

Have you adjusted your center spring
Yes, I adjusted the centre shock 3 times on my first ride of the year, the trails were hard like cement and adjusting the shock helped but not much, I have 3/4”-1” left of threads on centre shock, Last ride I lengthened the limiter to longest setting, steering got better but trails were not as hard as the first time.

When i bought my 17le with c&a razors, it had 9" shapers. It almost put me in the trees, just could not turn it!
I am now running snowtrackers with cannondales center spring, works good.

Trackers on the c&a razors ? I’m thinking the 9” shaper bars are contributing to the heavy steering, first ride out was -30*C in the morning, I don’t think the keel was touching the trail lol..
