wondering what the airhorns do...it seems they straighten the air out for reduced noise...maybe there's some improvement by removing or shortening?
or...what about running K&N's..what happens to the airbox?
how did they run and where did you get them...how much etc?

Air horns are critical air box component. Removing = loss in HP and shortening = loss in HP. They are set at a length that provides optimum performance already!
K&N's = fuel controller and alot of adjusting day to day for weather conditions. When setup right a great setup, but I'd only recommend them for drag racing due to being very finicky.

I understand the airhorn were set based on the stock airbox and airflow...but if you mod the airflow dont you think that could be adjusted also>?
btw spec...I noticed in the past you were using/running heelclickers and now you dont what gives?

Stock air horn will handle engine mods up to 190 hp without modification. Sound wave travel, resonance (and too much math to type out here) are all determining factors. Also remember when modifying air boxes it's as easy to lose 5 hp as it is to gain any. Putting holes in different places can cost HP!

thanks...the "holes" I'm considering are located where you did your mod...or the fix top lid...
