I'm going to change my 9 tooth driver to a 10 or maybe 11 tooth driver. I've tt a couple of cat guys and they said they've heard of guys running 11 tooth drivers but you need to keep your track really tight or the studs will hit. I usually run my track tight but I do trail ride quite a bit and go on long distance trips. I don't need studs taking out my heat exchangers.
I'm using 1.325 triggers and I find the really penetrate well with a 1" track.
I appreciate any feedback.

Not sure they make a 11 tooth 2.86 if they did they would be huge and track may not fit. 11 tooth 2.52 is a viable option.

sorry, I should have mentioned the 10 and 11 tooth are both 2.52 pitch because I'm going to run a 1" hacksaw track.

I believe an 11 tooth drive would have to be non extrovert, be good for speed running for sure. 10 tooth 2.52 is almost the same size as 9 tooth 2.86 so you're good. Ask Ben at TD maybe, I think a bunch of guys in Quebec run 11 tooth drivers, they like crazy long radar runs over there.

11 tooth 2.52 will fit . The only issue is they hang down so are suspectble to damage for trail riding.

lol, i did! he wants me to run 11 tooth but i had concerns about trail riding.
i only run 1320'-1500' tops. i watched a guy lose his track because he ran too far, not my cup of tea.

thanks! that's what i'm concerned with. i run trails 80% vs radar runs and drag racing only 20%.

Also I assume you have a 137 suspension, so if you convert to 2.52 and 136 hacksaw and then bigger drivers and say oversized 4th wheel kit things get tight.

that's another question i was going to get around too. i know with a big wheel kit on my 136 apex it's tight.

I went 136 hacksaw , 10 tooth, with 8.5 wheels and the wheels were very close to the transfer bar (Not the blocks) . Now that the track has stretched a bit it's ok. Not sure if I could of gone 11 tooth.
